  1. Could you introduce MyFRP to the community?

MyFRP works as a virtual personal assistant of sorts. It’s a hack-tested digital vault that stores and organises all your most important information, files, and wishes. The tool not only keeps all your traditionally paper documents backed up online, but can also help you keep on top of your everyday responsibilities too.

You can upload documents and input information to manage the day-to-day operation of your home, track your employment history and workplace benefits, order your finances, store important passwords, pins, logins and contacts, track your family history as well as keeping on top of yours and your family’s health and wellbeing, and plan for the future.

The tool is split into 8 handy pre-determined categories, so it’s easier for our users to navigate. You’ll find all the modules on the left-hand side, and within each section, you’ll find sub-categories so you can quickly and easily find what you need when it’s required. And as long as you have your credentials, you can access your account from anywhere in the world!

Any data stored on myFRP is fully encrypted, so your sensitive data is safe from 3rd parties. Only you and those you nominate can decode your information once securely logged in. You can nominate up to 5 people you trust to view your data, either instantaneously or in a set timeframe. That means that if you’re ever in times of trouble, your loved ones can swiftly locate all they need from one central location.

  1. What inspired you to create MyFRP

Back in 2011, my husband was diagnosed with an incurable cancer called multiple myeloma. He spent some time in hospital, which meant that I was home alone with the children, and it alerted me of what life could be like if the worst were to happen. I became overwhelmed, wondering how I could take care of my husband’s business, finish my studies, work full-time, single-handedly run our home and take care of our three young children.

A few years later, a sudden death occurred in the family and while the deceased had left passwords to his laptop and kept his affairs in order, he was responsible for all of his family’s finances. I saw first-hand the struggles and stresses of settling your spouse’s estate. It seemed impossible to grieve when you’re left with so much responsibility.

That’s when I thought: my family cannot be the only people in this position. After all, we’re never taught these life skills – it is down to our own initiative to research and investigate. Once I realised that countless people are uninformed in this realm, I wanted to help those same people keep track of their assets, so their families can receive what they’re eligible for.

We often minimise the value of a homemaker and the business that is family because it is innately part of us. We take for granted the value and effort that goes into it, but illness is very much a part of our reality and that’s what inspired me to create myFRP – a place you can easily access all your documents that you click and view at your own convenience, and one that can be accessed by your loved ones when they really need it.

  1. How can Juno members benefit from using MyFRP

Firstly, we built the tool with real people in mind, which means no matter who you are or what you do, myFRP will cater to your unique needs by helping you keep on top of all of your life’s admin.

If you think about it, throughout our lifetimes we gather so much information and interact with so many different people, it can sometimes lead us to become disorganised. With myFRP, you can keep all of that vital information in one place, and with nothing to download, you can keep adding to your account throughout your life without the worry of storage limitations.

By knowing that all of your information is in one secure place, accessible to you from anywhere in the world, and can be easily located by loved ones means that you’re able to get your affairs in order and secure your legacy. By doing so, you’ll not only gain great peace of mind, but you’ll also find you have more time and freedom to go out and live your life how you wish to do so.

Once signed up, Juno members will not only have full access to all of myFRP’s features but can also regularly receive resources to help with the more complicated aspects of life. We offer free guides for things like finances and pensions, will writing and estate planning, as well as more fun things like repurposing a loved one’s belongings or creating a family recipe book. As a Juno member, you’ll also be the first to know of any new updates and will receive handy tips and tricks so you can get the most out of your myFRP account.

  1. Could you share a personal tip for achieving a great work-life balance?

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance has been something that’s come up a lot over the last couple of years. While technology has made us more accessible than ever, working from home has also blurred the lines between personal time and professional time, making it all the more difficult for us to switch off.

Depending on your demands (both personally and professionally), work-life balance can mean different things to different people. For me, it’s important I leave work at work to avoid burnout and ensure I’m as productive as possible throughout the working day. While working from home, I like to designate a particular area to work  – preferably one that can be tucked away out of sight by the time the working day is over. That way, my home remains a place of relaxation with a clear divide between work and play.

To make sure I do have time to recharge, I make sure I schedule in time for the things I truly love – it can be as simple as reading a book, getting a workout in, meditating, or going for a walk. These kinds of things re-energise us so it’s important we make time for them or it’s all too easy they fall by the wayside.

When it comes to work, my #1 rule is to manage my time efficiently by working to my strengths. For example, each morning I’ll prioritise my tasks into categories of urgency and importance. If, like me, you work better in the morning, start your day by completing the tasks that require a high level of concentration. This way, you’ll make the most out of your working hours which will avoid work eating into your personal time and can prevent feeling stressed for not completing all your tasks.

With that said, if you find your concentration is slipping, allow yourself short breaks throughout the day away from your computer screen. In the long run, it could save you hours of procrastination! In the same vein, I always make sure I take my lunch break away from my workstation so I can clear my mind and prepare myself for the afternoon.
